‘Emotional cartography’
‘Emotional cartography’ Is an installation of corporeal sculptural formations. An amalgam of classic and modern expressionism, in the sense of using aspects of scientific anatomy (classic expression) and abstract expression being the scale, rhythm and somatic process of the work.
My aim was to identify and map specific emotions through sculptural representations and anatomical display, by artistically capturing characteristics of how the body and skin reacts internally and physically to thrill, anxiety and optimism.
