Imperfect grids served as an alternative to conventional perceptions of art. Textural grids, overlapping outlines, and irregular shapes moved my artwork away from the strict rules and judgments I experienced in school. As a result, this invited a diverse range of interpretations for me. The interplay of unreadable calligraphy with abstract forms created a visual dialogue that reflected traces of dyslexia and a feeling of not fitting in at school has laid the foundation for later more complex methodologies and theoretical frameworks.
